One of my good friends, Renee Eaves, was chatting to me last night about her jungle ordeal when she agreed to be part of “I’m a celebrity get me out of here“.  Hats off to you Renee, you wouldn’t get me doing any of that stuff.  All will be revealed in future posts on this blog….from what I heard of the upcoming episodes it wasn’t pretty at all.

Here is Renee when she finished filming.

I asked Joshua Adams what inspired him to write the song “Everything Will Be Alright”?

He replied:

Joshua Adams@JoshuaAdamsRock

@voxyladyspeaker Everyone goes through bad times…sometimes all you can say is “Everything Will Be Alright” :)

So true!

Adam Levine the Maroon 5 front man has a few choice words to say about Honey Boo Boo about her upbringing.

This writer has watched all the Honey Boo Boo episodes and the cringe factor was certainly happening for me when I started watching. As I viewed the episodes I found one common denominator with this family, they actually love each other very much, warts and all, and they don’t care less what anyone thinks about them. I’m sort of a fan now, only because I’m fascinated that a family like this actually exists!

However, our star of this post, Adam Levine, is not a fan at all “Seriously, Honey Boo Boo is the decay of Western civilization. Just because so many people watch the show doesn’t mean it’s good. So many people witness atrocities and can’t take their eyes away from them, but that doesn’t mean they’re good. That show is literally The. Worst. Thing. That’s. Ever. Happened.” Levine revealed in the December issue of GQ Magazine.

Levine on Boo Boo’s parents: “It’s complete f**cking ignorance and the most despicable way to treat your kids. F**k those people. They’re just the worst. Sorry, I’m so sensitive to that – like, I don’t know, man, it’s upsetting.”

I doubt that Alana’s parents will actually care what the gorgeous Levine has to say about their parenting skills, I’d love to have your opinion though.

Each year, some 70,000 young adults between the ages of 15 and 39 are diagnosed with cancer. And cancer does not discriminate, it can choose anyone, even celebrities – and you or someone you love.

For those celebrities who go public with their very personal journey they help give hope to the thousands of cancer sufferers around the world.

In a recent article in the Huffington post, 10 Celebs open up about their journey, including my favourite fighter, Diem Brown.

Others who have survived this insidious disease are Christina Applegate, Anthony Ryan Auld, Marissa Jaret Winokur, Ethan Zohn, Giuliana Rancic, Will Reiser, Ryan Buell, Michael C. Hall, and our own Australian, Kylie Minogue.

Mick Jagger - The Rolling Stones live at San S...

In 1968 Mick Jagger has said to have spotted a Cigar Shaped object whilst camping in Glastonbury with his then girlfriend, Marianne Faithful.  Jagger then claimed he spotted another UFO during a  concert in Altamont one year later.  Such an impact these sightings had on Mick he installed a “UFO Detector” (whatever that is) in his English estate.

When Victoria Beckham “Posh Spice” saw something that looked like a huge blazing soccer ball over her Los Angeles mansion she tweeted: “UFO hovering above Beckham’s house!!” To which her hairstylist tweeted back: “Grab the kids and run!” and may I personally add…”Don’t forget the Gucci Bag”…

In August 1974, John Lennon claimed to see a UFO when he was on the roof of his New York City apartment. John said he saw a disc-shaped UFO hovering just 100 feet away. His girlfriend at the time, May Pang, took some photos but they all came out blank.  John was so taken by what happened he even wrote a lyric in one of his songs….”There’s UFO’s over New York, and I aint too surprised…” – Nobody Told Me, from the album Milk and Honey (1984). Maybe the two could have been in a drug-induced hallucination?

Boxing legend, Muhammad Ali saw a bright light appear over his head and start moving along with him when he was jogging in New York’s Central Park. Ali has claimed to have seen many UFOs in his lifetime. “If you look up in the sky in the early morning,” he once said, “you see them playing tag between the stars.” Well this reporter was going to say Mr Ali has had one too many knocks to the head, but having seen two UFO’s playing tag myself a number of years ago I better not!

Dan Aykroyd might own the most famous ET “non-sighting.” It happened back in the 80s when the actor woke up in the middle of the night and told his wife: “They are calling me. I want to go outside.” His wife suggested he go back to sleep. The next day people all over upstate New York reported having the same urge to go outside at three in the morning. Those that did go outside reported seeing a tremendously large pink spiral hovering in the sky.  Hmmmm something in the water?

Elvis Presley claimed as a child to have met “beings of light from the Blue Planet who showed him future images of himself onstage as a famous performer.” Presley also claims on the night he was born a beautiful blue light hovered over his home.

Sharon Stone had an NDE when she suffered a brain hemorrhage: When interviewed by Katie Couric Sharon explained:

“When it hit me I felt like I’d been shot in the head. That’s the only way I can really describe it. It hit me so hard it knocked me over on the sofa. And Phil was out of town and I called him and said, “I think I had a stroke.” But in all fairness, I’m a person who’s always saying, “I think I’ve had a stroke, I think I’ve had a heart attack, I think I’ve had a brain hemorrhage … I had a real journey with this that took me to places both here and beyond that affected me so profoundly that my life will never be the same … I get to be not afraid of dying and I get to tell other people that it’s a fabulous thing and that death is a gift. And not that you should kill yourself, but that when death comes to you, as it will, that it’s a glorious and beautiful thing. This kind of giant vortex of white light was upon me and I kind of – poof! Sort of took off into this glorious, bright, bright, bright white light and I started to see and be met by some of my friends. But it was very fast – whoosh! Suddenly, I was back. I was in my body and I was in the room.”

The late, Larry Hagman underwent a liver transplant in 1995 as a result of heavy drinking and during this time had an NDE.
“I was able to look over the edge. I got a little glimpse of what was the next step. I didn’t see a light some people see, but I had a wonderful feeling of bliss and warmth. The bottom line is love, that sounds corny, but it was just lovely, uplifting.

Donald Sutherland had a NDE in 1979 as a result of Meningitis. “Suddenly the pain, fever and acute distress seemed to evaporate. I was floating above my body, surrounded by soft blue light. I began to glide down a long tunnel, away from the bed … but suddenly I found myself back in my body. The doctors told me later that I had actually died for a time.”

The late Elizabeth Taylor In an interview with America’s AIDS magazine, Liz described her NDE again: “I went to that tunnel, saw the white light, and Mike [Todd]. I said, Oh Mike, you’re where I want to be. And he said, ‘No, Baby. You have to turn around and go back because there is something very important for you to do. You cannot give up now.’ It was Mike’s strength and love that brought me back.”

Ozzy Osbourne had a brush with death after he hit a pothole while riding a bike. He was thrown over the handlebars and subsequently fell down a hill – the bike came down on top of him and crushed his chest. Luckily for Ozzy, his security guard rushed to his side and tried to revive him – Ozzy stopped breathing twice and spent  8 days in a coma. He described the accident: “If it wasn’t for Sam I probably wouldn’t be here. He had to bring me back to life twice. I didn’t know where I was or how long I’d been there. I would drift in and out of consciousness. Other times there would be a white light shining through the darkness, but no f—king angels, no one blowing trumpets and no man in a white beard.”

Ozzy credits the crash with helping him to quit drugs and straighten up his life: “You are bopping along through life and have your ups and downs, but it is amazing how two or three seconds can totally change your life.
